Bounda National Park

Bournda National Park is a natural playground on the Far South Coast, packed with options to entice explorers of all ages.

Get away from the crowds and drive to Turingal Head, then wander down to Wine Glass Bay and spend the afternoon having a picnic by the beach. Discover secluded beaches and spectacular cliffs along the rugged coastline on the Kangarutha walking track. In the warmer months, you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a passing whale. Located only a short 10 minute drive south of Tathra.

Mimosa Rocks National Park

Escape for the day! Just a short 10-minute drive north from Tathra Beachside is Mimosa Rocks National Park offering show-stopping headland views, beaches and pure lagoons. Swim at the secluded Moon Bay, explore the lookouts, rainforest pockets and historic sites along Middle Lagoon, Wadjurda Point and Mimosa Rocks walking track, surf the sparkling break at Nelson’s Beach, or paddle the pristine waters of Nelson’s Lagoon.

Mimosa Rocks National Park also offers plenty of opportunities for fishing, whale watching, snorkeling and bird watching throughout the park, with great picnic areas to stop for a break.
